Loud Noises
If I’ve learned one thing in life, it’s to never hold a cat while someone’s doing dishes. That’s right, if someone is doing dishes, just put the cat down. You’ll be glad you did.
See if your cat is anything like Olive, he or she startles quite easily at loud noises such as pots and pans banging together. In this startled state, your cat is likely to pop his or her claws and slash the first thing within slashing distance, which is you and your cool, ironic t-shirt.
If you do happen to get clawed while someone is doing dishes, try to remain calm because if you get upset, it’ll look like you’re ungrateful to the person who’s actually cleaning up dinner. Just be cool and grab the Neosporin. Maybe shop online for a new ironic t-shirt.
True story. Happens every time. 🙂
Hurts every time too. 🙂
I was holding a cat back when I had roommates, and my roommate jumped out to scare me not knowing I had the cat in my arms. Said cat proceeded to climb up my chest to my shoulders to jump over my back and run away. OW.
Yow!
Ouch.
Claws are not my friend.
Nervous cats with claws are a recipe for pain.
Coco was the cat version of Wolverine so we got shredded almost on a daily basis.
