Olive Crossing
Hazel has to be careful. If she gets too excited about something and moves too quickly, Olive senses the excitement and mistakes it for playtime.
It usually happens when I get home and Hazel comes running to see me (yes, some cats actually do that). Olive immediately comes running and leaps over the top of her and sometimes even makes a 180 degree turn, runs back and jumps over her again.
Of course Hazel hates this and will have to slow down and “army crawl” on her belly so that Olive loses interest. It usually works since Olive has such a short attention span.
It’s always nice to walk through the door and have your four legged family member so excited to see you.
Yeah, some days it’s one of the greatest things.
We used to have a Japanese bob tail that loved to jump back and forth over our terrier. He would start whenever our dog would run to greet folks at the door. I felt sorry for him, cause the dog would ignore his acrobatics and it was obvious that he was wanting to play with her.
Aw, poor guy. I always wished Hazel would play with Olive, but she mostly just plays with shoelaces and cat toys. Olive trying to play has always annoyed her.
Ahhh, lol. Catching up now that I got my son married off. lol I love this. A couple of my fur babies meet us at the door too. It’s usually to lead us to the food bowl, but they meet us.
Thanks; glad ya like it! Congratulations on your son getting married!
