ThunderCAAATS!
Being a kid in the 80’s was great. There were so many fantastic shows to watch, and of course all of the action figures that spawned them.
I had a lot favorites, but my top three were always Transformers, G.I. Joe and Thundercats. Sure they were goofy as heck, but back then, I ate it up. Thundercats was probably the silliest of them all with characters like Lion-O, Panthro and Tygra going up against the evil Mumm-ra (yeah, he was a mummy).
Maybe the show planted a seed in me that grew into my eventual love of cats. At any rate, I thought it would be the perfect costume for Olive this Halloween.

I was crazy about Thundercats as a kid. About 5 or so years ago I saw an episode of the original Thundercats, man it was terrible, I guess I was easy to please when I was 10. On the other hand, the new Thundercats show isn’t too bad, I watch it with my son.
Yeah, unfortunately they don’t hold up very well. I enjoyed the new series too. I’m not sure if it’s going to continue running or not.
From what I’ve heard, it sounds like it’s not coming back.
