Pit for Pat

This is another comic that basically happened in real life a few months ago.
The cats were sleeping peacefully on the couch, when suddenly Olive woke up and realized that her foot could reach Hazel’s head from where she was laying. So the only reasonable thing to do was to kick. Of course, Hazel wasn’t taking it and began to fight back.
This went on for about a minute, until the two of them got tired and returned to their afternoon nap. As a side note, the middle panel on the bottom row is one of my favorites of the series so far.
“Put on the glasses!”
“No!”
I’ve often considered having the cats reenact the fight scene from They Live. The problem is that it would take at least 15-20 pages, and people would get tired of it.
Still, I can’t help but think it would be hilarious …
cute!
This is one of my favorites based on real life. The number of times Olives just flops down and kicks Hazel…
Hi Maaatt, just found you strip, and as a fellow cat owner, I can relate. Some feedback: your strips of cats being cats are hysterical, especially the ones based on real life observations. You lost me when you make them too human, like with the leprechaun and tacos. One more thing, then I will shut up (really), I had a really hard time finding your first comic and reading them in order. My suggestion, as you move forward, would be to create an “archive” page, and/or a “first” link. HTH!
@Mrs. Pankow - thanks so much for coming by and reading the strip! I’m glad you find the “cat-like” strips hysterical - great to hear.
I guess in my view, pets tend to act pretty human at times, so the human strips you’ll see are sort of an exaggeration of that idea. Sorry those aren’t really your cup of tea, but I appreciate the honest feedback.
If you go to the right of the page and scroll down, there is an archive section and calendar section where you should be able to go to any strip. We’re tossing around ideas on the image scroller and trying to find a solution that works for everyone.
Thanks again for reading!
