Learning The Value Of Surprise Attacks

by Matt on September 14, 2021 at 12:01 am

Hazel and Olive have lived together for exactly two years now, and it’s safe to say that Hazel has gotten a bit wise to Olive’s shenanigans.

At times, all Olive has to do is literally look at Hazel the wrong way and she’ll receive a solid smack on the head, just in case she decides to try anything. It’s really forced Olive to rethink her strategy and become sneakier when moving in for an attack. A recent technique she’s picked up is casually walking past Hazel and then kicking backwards with her foot.

Today’s comic depicts a time in which Olive’s attacks weren’t so subtle and Hazel puts a classic wrestling move to good use.

If Cat Toys Could Talk …

by Matt on September 7, 2021 at 12:01 am

If cat toys could talk, what would they sound like? I sometimes imagine them sounding a little bit like Joe Pesci from the movie Goodfellas. You can almost hear the Italian accent of a small, disgruntled man as you see a ragged old toy flying through the air.

I mean if the sole purpose of your existence was to be punched, kicked, bitten and thrown, you’d be a little on edge too, right? Hopefully the toy of this particular story doesn’t decide to seek out revenge. It could mean bad things for the cats …

Game Over, Man! Game Over!

Every now and then, I’ll see bird go sailing directly past the living room windows, followed immediately by one or both of the cats scrambling to the window, eyes wide with the anticipation of a potential meal.

Of course, there’s no possible way for the cats to actually get to the birds, and it makes me wonder if the birds realize the cruel game they’re playing. You can almost picture them high fiving each other as they speak of “pwnage” and “lolz” (terms commonly found on internet message boards).

Of course if the cats could find a way to break the barrier, the tables would definitely be turned …

Who The Meow Are You?

by Matt on August 24, 2021 at 12:01 am

It was a sunny afternoon last summer and the sun was beaming through the kitchen windows, a spotlight under which Olive could take the stage.

The name of the show was, My Shadow Looks Like Another Cat. I Think I’ll Attack It.

The performance was brief but entertaining, as Olive spun in circles and hit the other cat with a combination of punches and kicks. In the end, she realized the other cat was invincible and she retreated.

And although the battle ended in stalemate, what I saw was a victory. Truly a show to be remembered.
